The absolute breakfast crowd pleaser, crispy golden cheesy hash brown waffles. Cheesy potato goodness in the shape of a waffle – Hell yeah!!
I am a sucker for anything cheese related, especially when it’s served in a hot dish. Lord please. I don’t have cheese for breakfast often BUT if I made these cheesy hash brown waffles everyday then I would. Errday.
Apart from grating the potato this is a none recipe.
The stars of the show are:
- Grated potato
- Grated cheese
- Chives
- Egg
- Dash if milk
- Seasoning (onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper)
I absolutely LOVE breakfast. I love it so much I wanna cry sometimes just thinking about the different breakfasts I could make during the week. Today it just happened to be eggs eggs and cheeeeeesey waffles.
I just love how breakfast can be sweet, savoury or BOTH. I mean you can’t get that for dinner can you. Eh no. Case closed breakfast is the best.

Cheesy hash brown potato waffles
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- bunch of chopped chives
Instructions
-
Peel and grate potato's. Then wash to rinse of starch which causes the potato's to brown quickly.
-
Once rinsed. Make sure to squeeze the excess juice from the potato's using a tea towel. (This is very important.) You don't want a soggy waffle.
-
Add the rest of the ingredients into a bowl and mix together. Once the waffle mixture is ready, ,oil up the waffle iron and pour mixture in. Close and cook for about 5 mins, until steam has stopped coming outside of the waffle iron.
-
Sprinkle some more chives on top and serve with your favourite breakfast side, I like mine with eggs. Enjoy!
