Unbelievably simple 3 ingredient coconut hazelnut balls, perfect healthy snack for the whole family to enjoy!
Guyyssss if you don’t have a food processor seriously, just get one already. I was one of those people who used to attempt every processor needing recipe WITHOUT ONE. My smoothie Ninja blender just used to blend everything so damn fast and ruin texture. Or it needed lots of water to just get it going and when you recipe doesn’t call for any water, it’s already an epic fail.
So I finally bought a food processor and it was not a huge investment like thought it would be. I paid around £49.99 for one on Amazon. Sad as it sounds this thing really changed my life!! I use it for everything. I mean everything. Even for dinner when I’m not bothered to chop up onions and veg. Just throw in the processor baby. Not to mention I can whip numerous treats for the family in la matter of minutes.
This recipe is the first thing I made when I bought my processor and it was a super quick treat for the whole family. Hazelnut date balls. Hazelnuts are my favourite nut and flavour wise they go with just about everything. Not to mention hazelnut reminds me of my all time favourite chocolate FERRERO ROCHER. Hmmmmmm.
Whenever I bake any type of balls my kids are always too happy to help. Because these came out brown and looking like chocolate truffles my 3 year old says ‘Ooooh mummy Chocolate balls’. While I’m thinking, sure babe whatever you say. I sit back like a boss with a smug grin on my face as they scoff these healthy balls of goodness down. Chocolate balls my sweet darlings, chocolate balls…
Once you see how easy these balls are to make you definitely won’t be reaching out for that chocolate bar…
